Admission as an associate member of the Australian Institute of Architects is based on two years of approved practical experience. When you graduate from the Master of Architecture, you will have the right to register as an architect under the Architects Act 1921 (NSW), provided that you obtain two years of approved practical experience, of which at least 12 months must elapse after graduation, and to pass a practical architectural exam before registering.
