Which Glass is Best for Partition Walls?

Tempered glass is the most popular choice for partition walls today, as it is four to five times stronger and more durable than annealed glass. It undergoes a heating process to harden it, and when it breaks, it does so into small pieces with obtuse angles rather than large, sharp fragments. The most common thicknesses used are 10 mm or 12 mm, as they have a very high strength that can withstand a strong impact. Curved glass wall partitions are an excellent design feature, freeing your office from the square feel and straight lines of cuboid-shaped partitions.

If curved glass is too extravagant for your budget, but you still want to avoid square partitions, faceted glass walls are a great alternative. The curved glass partition is sometimes necessary for the architectural structure or because of some special design problems. Single-glazed glass walls are also a great option for insulation without compromising light and visibility. Fireproof glass is the perfect choice if fire protection is a key requirement in your office design.

Ceramic-fused glass partitions are also an option, with their decorative effects such as dot or bar designs, gradient glass designs, etc. Curved glass is made by heating the glass to about 600-700 degrees and then quickly cooling it with a strong wind jet. It can be combined with an aluminum frame system to convert it into a glass partition with a sliding door. By law, any glass partition you install in your office must be complemented by a film, a safety measure to prevent people from entering the glass.

Or why not opt for a special film that switches between opaque and transparent, meaning that glass partition walls can offer privacy and an open design as needed.
